Funtastic adventures!

I haven't blogged in 2 weeks?! Uni has been keeping me so busy, but now I finally have some spare time. This is what I've been up to during the past week (the interesting parts anyway haha).

Saturday - Narabeen Beach
A science excursion to the beach? What a great idea! It was the beginning of spring so it was perfect beach weather. The scenery was beautiful and company was awesome!

When do you ever get the chance to walk across a rock platform in closed shoes and inappropriate beach clothes? There were sand in my pants (not what you're thinkinggggg) and puddles in my shoes, but it was worth it.

The gradient is much more gradual in real life...

I learned that rocks are more interesting than I had initially thought. See those chunks of rock at the bottom of the photo? Thousands of years ago, they were part of the rock platform (middle section of photo), but the waves gradually broke them apart and pushed them towards the shore. Interesting right? (Apparently, I sound like Ross LOL)

Sunday - Zen Oasis
I've mentioned this place before in a previous post (here), but for those who don't know, it's a vegetarian restaurant. (Check out their website here!). The 1.5 hour drive for me is definitely worth it!

Doesn't this look like a painting? (iOS7 is so cool!)

There's also a heart-shaped patch of flowers in the middle left.

I got too carried away with the food, and forgot to take more photos (Oops hehe)

I miss the green tea blob thing!

Thursday - Bowling and laser skirmish
Being the great sister that I am, I worked as a chauffeur for the day. Driving my sister and her friends to bowling and froyo afterwards.

Taro & pandan with mochi & jackfruit <3

Stiles quotes

If you watch Teen Wolf, you may agree that Stiles makes the show. If not for his geekiness and sarcasm, I wouldn't like the show as much as I do.

No Stiles, you're not drunk
Image.
Let's laugh at some quotes!

Stiles: Maybe you caught a rabbit or something.
Scott: And did what?
Stiles: Ate it.
Scott: Raw?
Stiles: No, you stopped to bake it in a little werewolf oven.

Scott: What did you tell her?
Allison: That we were part of an online gaming community that battles mythical creatures.
Stiles: I am part of an online gaming community that battles mythical creatures.
Allison: Oh. Great...

Sheriff: So you lied to me?
Stiles: That depends on how you define lying.
Sheriff: Well I define it as you not telling the truth. How do you define it?
Stiles: Reclining your body... in a horizontal position.

Stiles: Well I shouldn't say I told you so, 'cause it's not strong enough. How about, I'm always right and you should listen to whatever I have to say and never disagree ever for the sake of your wolvihood?

Coach: What the hell is wrong with your friend?
Stiles: Well, he's failing two classes, he's a little socially awkward, and if you look closely his jaw line is a little uneven.

Stiles: So you're asking me to tell you what I wouldn't not tell you?
FBI agent: First, I have no idea what you just said. Second, how about you just help me help you.
Stiles: Well I don't know how to help you help me tell you something if I don't know it.

Stiles: We shouldn't have come. I know it. We shouldn't have come.
Scott: We had to. There's safety in numbers.
Stiles: Well, there's also death in numbers. It's called a massacre. A bloodbath. Carnage. Slaughter. Butchery.

Who's your favourite character from Teen Wolf? If you don't watch it, what's your favourite quote above?

VMA fashion!

Just browsing through the photos from the VMAs (Video Music Awards), I have realised that celebrities always have opportunities to get dolled up and go to huge events! These are just SOME of my favourites!

1. Holland Roden: I have no idea who she is (wait a minute, while I search her up on Wikipedia haha... how did I not know she was in Teen Wolf??), but she looks beautiful! So classy and elegant. Perfect for the red carpet or... you know, a fairytale wedding ;)

2. Joseph Gordon-Levitt: I have no words... no words.

3. Taylor Swift: Very sophisticated, but it looks like she's about to write a song about the cameraman... (jokes, love ya T-swift).

4. Ellie Goulding: I think this dress matches her personality and music perfectly! Slightly edgy but classic at the same time (if that makes any sense...)

5. Ariana Grande: The dress says she's feminine & girly, and is ready to have a good time.

6. Darren Criss: I've never seen a suit in this colour, although now that I think about it, they can be made in any colour right?

7. Becky G: Why have to sacrifice comfort for style, when you can have both!

8. Lenay Dunn: I love this colour and the cut of the dress! I personally think that she could have used a plain black clutch instead but who am I to judge?

9. Jillian Rose Reed: Very modern and fun.

10. Shailene Woodley: Love the pattern of the skirt.

All images were from here.

Those were my thoughts, now let me know who you thought was best dressed!

August Bellabox!

It felt like forever while waiting for this months Bellabox. It was well worth the wait because I'm excited to try the products!

While reading the sneak preview, I connected with the idea that the winter season did nothing to help me keep active. The seemingly short days and long nights meant that I got less work done and more sleep (yay for the undereye circles though!).

Pevonia Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser, $67 for 150ml
I've heard of but never tried this brand before. I love my exfoliating cleansers, so this will be used very soon!

Aphelia Oasis Herbal Acne Solution, $49 for 50ml
It's hard enough to read the label in person... How convenient that a pimple popped up out of nowhere the night that I got this haha. I whipped this out and applied it on those suckers (need more time to test it out). It has a herbal scent, which I don't mind too much. The roller ball makes it easy to apply too.

Ultraceuticals Ultra CC Cream, $59 for 50ml
I was surprised to get this product since I already received a BB cream. I've swatched it and it feels light and blends nicely.

Maybelline New York Dream Pure BB Cream, $15.95 for 30ml
This was what I was waiting for! I've already worn it once... Coverage is really good for a BB cream, blends well, and doesn't make me look shiny!

Loreal Base Magique Primer, $29.95 for 15ml
Apparently, this contains soft powders (is that a thing??) which help to absorb sebum and mattify the skin. Sounds interesting.

Banana Boat Mineral Protect Sensitive SPF 30+, $15.75 for 120g
It's kinda embarrassing that I was excited about a sunscreen LOL. I've decided to make more of an effort to use sunscreen on a daily basis, so this was perfect! It doesn't feel too greasy or sticky.

TOM Organic Tampons, $7.99 for 16
I don't have much to say about this... Except that the cotton is free from pesticides.

Click here to find out more about Bellabox!

I'm super excited about the Maybelline Dream Pure BB cream! What product/s are you excited to try?

All that is random #1

I have come to realise that throughout the day, I think of some pretty random questions. I literally thought of these 5 seconds before I decided to write this blog post. They may possibly give some indication of your personality, but other than that, it's just to satisfy my curiosity haha.

Untitled
Image. This is also random :)

1. Do you spread nutella (or whatever else) right up to the crust?
✖ Happiness.
Image. That is some nice spreading.
Otherwise you're just eating plain sandwich crust...

2.  Do you organise all your apps into folders?
Image. Maybe deleting the 'Stupid' folder would help.
I like having as few apps as possible and being able to see them all.

Let me know your spread and app preferences!

Colour personality test

Personality tests are a great way to learn about yourself as well as other people without the need for a sunglasses and newspaper. I realise they can be inaccurate, but they provide great insight into your general behaviour.

Color Persoality Test
Image.

Catrific introduced me to the Colour Personality test, which identifies your dominant colour/s (not your favourite colour!). The colour with the highest number is your dominant colour. Click here to take the test!

My results are:
  • blue 3
  • yellow 4
  • green 5
  • red 4
Joy, Love, Laugh Green iPad 2 Case
Image.
My dominant colour is green, but overall it's pretty evenly spread. Greens are normally calm and don't stress out easily.

Pros:
  • loyal
  • good listener
  • self-control
Cons:
  • procrastinates (who doesn't? haha)
  • resists change
  •  overly lenient with people
I think these general statements are quite accurate. Being an introvert, making sudden changes or being spontaneous doesn't come naturally. I have been making conscious effort to be more outgoing and saying 'yes' to new activities. I want to experience the world rather than stay in my little world.

Have you taken the test? What's your dominant colour? Is it accurate?
